Eric D. Mininberg, MD
Eric D. Mininberg, MD was born in Washington, DC. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1993 with a degree in government and obtained a medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was a Hematology fellow at Baylor University and a Medical Oncology fellow at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Mininberg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is Board certified in Medical Oncology.
Dr. Mininberg is the recipient of numerous honors and awards. He was inducted in 1989 as a member of Cum Laude Society with St. Albans School in Washington, DC. While at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, he was honored with the Elsa U. Pardee foundation Grant for Community Oncology. As a fellow in 2003 he was awarded the American Society of Clinical Oncology Merit Award. He holds memberships with the Dartmouth and University of Virginia Alumni Associations, as well as the American and Georgia Societies of Clinical Oncology. He has numerous publications and abstracts in Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. Mininberg has many interests. In 1990, he was an intern for Congressman John Myers of the Seventh District of Indiana. He also studied government at Oxford University in England in 1991. He did clinical research at the National Institute of Health in 1992. He currently remains actively involved in clinical research trials.
Dr. Mininberg joined PHOC in 2003. He is married to Dr. Amy Y. Mininberg, and has two children, Joshua and Emily. He loves to cook and has a large friendly Labrador retriever named “Duke”.
